Gateway to Investment – Health to Wealth was born from a bold idea: That African Americans—the descendants of resilience—could return to the continent not in search of roots, but in pursuit of impact. And that the people of Sierra Leone, long overlooked in their own land, could rise as co-owners of their resources, their skills, and their future.
We exist to bring those visions together—intentionally.
Gateway to Investment was designed as a smooth transitional bridge between two powerful peoples: African Americans and Sierra Leoneans. Not only are we returning with purpose, we’re doing so in direct partnership with the very communities we aim to uplift.
This program is not just collaborative—it is co-created.
For over 20 years, we have worked hand-in-hand with the Mende and Temne tribes—two of Sierra Leone's most influential communities. We have served as mediators, not just between tribes, but between continents, values, and possibilities. Gateway is the result of decades of trust, diplomacy, and dedication.
With representatives from both the Mende and Temne tribes at the table, Gateway ensures equity, inclusion, and shared benefit in every initiative. Jobs are being created on both sides of the Atlantic. Solutions are being shaped together. This is not an external intervention—this is a homegrown alliance designed to return power and resources to the people.

To reconnect African American professionals and industry leaders with Sierra Leonean communities through ethical partnership, skill-sharing, and ancestral alignment—empowering both sides to build generational wealth and shared prosperity.

Because Africa is still being taken from. Because African Americans are still searching for a deeper legacy. Because Sierra Leone is still rich—but others keep walking away richer.
Gateway is here to flip that narrative. Through shared vision, real investment, and ancestral reconnection, we’re creating something radical: A future that includes us all.
Our Roots
Gateway was born from lived experience—not theory.
Our foundation was built over decades of working directly in Sierra Leone. From walking village roads to navigating resource trade, from sitting with tribal chiefs to surviving as a trusted guest—we’ve built this movement the way it should be built: from the inside out.
This vision came not from a boardroom, but from the ground. From a deep love of community. From a belief that African Americans could be more than symbols—they could be solution-builders.
We honor that vision by staying humble, staying people-first, and staying focused on the mission—not the spotlight.
